The Teddy Bear Artist Event of 2008, UK
The Exhibitors' Challenge
As the theme of the TBAE 2008 is 'The Four Seasons', I challenge all the exhibitors to create a bear that represents one of the four seasons. There are not many rules as I want your creative juices to flow freely!!
You can make a bear to represent one of the following: summer, spring, autumn or winter.
Your creations will be categorised into seasons, and will be judged in their category.
You may enter more than one category. However, each season must be a separate piece as one piece cannot qualify for more than one category.
A first place and runner up will be awarded in each season category.
All entries will be displayed in their category on the Stage Area at the venue on 8th June 2008.
Your bear can be of any size. I only ask you to remember that space is limited so please do not go too large!
Judging will be by way of public vote. Each entry will be placed next to a labelled pot. Members of the public will be asked to place a coin in the entry(s) that they would like to vote for. The winner will be the bear in each category with the highest number of coins. All of these coins will then be donated to the British Heart Foundation.
One entry overall will be chosen by me, the organiser, to be awarded a free stall at the TBAE in 2009.
If you send a photograph of your entry to me by 30th May 2008, the photograph will appear on the TBAE website next to your name. This is your chance to stand out on the website!!
When on display on the 8th June, challenge pieces can be labelled with your name, and can be for sale. Simply produce a small, neat sign to go next to your entry, with your name, price and stand number on it, so that if anyone is interested in purchasing your bear during the day, they can visit you at your stand.
Entries must remain in place until the winners are announced at 3:30pm on the day of the event. (Therefore if your bear is adopted during the day, you will need to ask the collector to collect their bear after 3:30pm)
Entry will cost £5 per entry. This money will all go to the British Heart Foundation.
